The newly created Zhovtovodska city territorial community, formed in November 2020 is economically wealthy and investment attractive. The city of Zhovti Vody which is the center of the community is the youngest in Ukraine in the west of Dnipropetrovsk region. The Palace of Culture built in 1957 is the landmark of Zhovtovodskа community. The exquisite building stands out among the houses of the city. In 1985 it was included in the list of architectural monuments of Dnipropetrovsk region.
The monofunctionality of the community is determined by the developed mining industry. The city-forming enterprise “The Eastern Mining and Processing Plant” is one of the ten largest uranium producers and the only enterprise in Ukraine that provides uranium ore mining and produces natural uranium concentrate. The company supplies uranium to Ukrainian nuclear power plants by 40%.
Small and medium-sized enterprises ensure the diversification of the community’s economy by creating products with high added value, in such sectors as mechanical engineering, metallurgy, food and light industry. The following enterprises are worthy of special attention:
“Pozitron GmbH” LLC pecializes in the design and production of radiation and radioecological monitoring equipments and systems, intended for use at nuclear power plants, state border and crossing points, in scientific research, medicine, environmental monitoring, etc.
“FYM” LLC has been successfully working in the field of production of faux fur on a knitted basis for over 40 years. During this time, the company has gained a reputation as a reliable partner, able to compete with the world’s leading manufacturers of faux fur. The installed capacity of “FYM” LLC makes it possible to produce more than 7 mln m² of faux fur per year.
Trading House “Dobrobut” ̶ is a company that produces confectionery products using new technologies and high-quality products. Since 2019, the products of TH “Dobrobut” have entered the international market, deliveries are carried out to such countries as Belarus, Latvia, Estonia, Israel, Palestine, Moldova, Romania, Saudi Arabia.
