Vakulivska territorial community was created one of the first in Ukraine, in November 2015 by uniting 18 settlements of three village councils: Zhovtneva, Novovasylivska, Novooleksiivska village councils of Kryvyi Rih district of Dnipropetrovsk region. The center of Vakulovskaya TC is the village of Vakulove is the youngest village in Dnipropetrovsk region.

According to the results of the Regional Center for Economic Research and Entrepreneurship Support, Vakulivska TC is in the TOP 20 rating of institutional capacity and sustainability of small and medium-sized communities in Ukraine.

Street lighting, equipped squares, free WiFi, social transport, modern sports grounds, each student has own tablet, and the paramedic has a scooter – all this is the result of fruitful work of the professional team of Vakulivska TC.

The community actively participates in international grant programmes such as DOBRE, GIZ and U-LEAD. For example, with financial support from the Ukraine-Swiss Decentralisation Support Project in Ukraine (DESPRO) and the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, modern street lighting was installed and the existing water supply system in the community was modernised.

The main branch of the community’s economy is agriculture. There are 11 agricultural societies, 29 farms, 28 private enterprises and 569 private farms.

The largest, in which about 32% of the community’s agricultural land is cultivated, are:

  • “Euromonolit” LLC – land bank 2050 ha (corn, wheat, sunflower, barley);;
  • Agrofirm “PETROVO” LLC – 1989 ha (corn, wheat, sunflower, barley);
  • FH “Peremoha” – 937 ha (corn, sunflower);
  • “Slovyany” LLC – 544 ha (corn, millet, wheat, sunflower, barley).

The main sale of products takes place through sales to intermediaries from Kryvyi Rih, Nikopol and Apostolove (honey, grapes, garlic, milk, etc.) and at local food markets in the villages of Vakulove, Mykolayivka, Sofiyivka and the city of Kryvyi Rih.

 In 2022, the reconstruction of local roads is expected, which connect the community with high-quality roads with highways of national importance, railway stations and river ports, which will create additional opportunities for potential investors in the following areas:

  • creation of processing enterprises for the production of agricultural products;
  • creation of dairy cooperatives;
  • creation of a logistics center for agricultural products.
