SorbiForce, a startup co-founded and CEO by Ukrainian entrepreneur and scientist Serhii Kaminskyi, has raised more than $270,000 through the crowdfunding platform StartEngine. The short funding round was completed two days before the deadline.

On the StartEngine website, the deadline is May 1. According to the platform, SorbiForce was backed by 183 investors (one could become one by investing from $500), and the startup is valued at $20 million.

SorbiForce was founded in 2017 in Ukraine and is currently registered in Delaware, USA. The startup’s Linkedin page says that they have presented “the world’s first non-metallic eco-friendly battery” (most batteries are now made using rare earth metals such as lithium).

It is claimed to be the most economical, safe, environmentally friendly, and made from renewable raw materials.
