Ukraine’s trade turnover in January-September amounted to $89.6 billion

During this period, goods worth $60.1 billion were imported into Ukraine, while exports amounted to $29.5 billion. Taxable imports amounted to $45.9 billion, which is 76% of the total volume of imported goods.

Among the countries from which Ukraine imported the most goods were China ($13.3 billion), Poland ($5.7 billion), and Germany ($4.8 billion). Ukraine exported the most to Poland ($3.7 billion), Turkey ($2.1 billion), and Germany ($1.8 billion).

Of the total volume of goods imported in January-September, 69% consisted of:

  • machinery, equipment, and transport – $23.8 billion;
  • chemical industry products – $9.4 billion;
  • fuel and energy products – $7.6 billion.

The top three goods exported from Ukraine were food products ($16.2 billion), metals and metal products ($3.4 billion), and machinery, equipment, and transport ($2.8 billion).

In January-September 2025, UAH 641.9 million was paid to the budget during customs clearance of exports of goods subject to export duties.

Ukraine’s trade turnover grew by 13% in 2024 compared to 2023, from $99.4 billion to $112.3 billion. During the year, Ukraine imported goods worth $70.7 billion and exported goods worth $41.6 billion.
