The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine ratified the Procedure for state registration of livestock facilities and market operators, as well as the Procedure for approval of livestock facilities for export, import and activities, which are high risk.

These documents define a clear and transparent procedure:

1. implementation of state registration of livestock facilities and market operators, which will be carried out in accordance with the requirements of European Union legislation;
2. approval of livestock facilities for export, import and operation, which is a high risk under EU law.

It is expected that the implementation of the positions of Regulation (EU) №2016/429 (the Regulation entered into force on April 21, 2021) will improve the effectiveness of anti-epizootic measures and state control measures. As a consequence, this will improve the epizootic situation in Ukraine, where today with a certain frequency recorded outbreaks of infectious animal diseases. And domestic capacity operators will be able to increase their export-import potential.
