Dnipropetrovsk region opens its representative office in the EU

In the framework of the 21st European Cities and Regions Week, representative office of Dnipropetrovsk region was opened in Brussels together with the Secretary General of the European Committee of the Regions, Petr Blížkovský. The opening ceremony was also joined by Mykola Lukashuk, Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, Valentyna Zatyshniak, Director of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Investment Agency, representatives of the Committee of the Regions of the European Union, Vsevolod Chentsov, Ambassador of Ukraine to the EU, Tetiana Yegorova-Lutsenko, President of the Ukrainian Association of Rayon and Oblast Councils, Andriy Sadovyi, Mayor of Lviv, and Vitaliy Bezgin, Deputy of the Ukrainian Parliament,

The office is provided by the Committee of Regions free of charge until the end of 2024.

Lviv office is next to us. Ukraine is represented from East to West as a united unbreakable force.

This step will be followed by systematic advocacy work to attract investment and to rebuild our communities.

European Committee of the Regions (CoR) is the voice of the regions and cities of the European Union (EU). It represents local and regional authorities across the European Union and advises on new laws that have an impact on regions and cities (70% of all EU legislation).

Also, seven days after Ukraine was granted EU candidate status, the European Alliance of Cities and Regions for the Reconstruction of Ukraine was launched at the call of the President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The Alliance was established by the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) and its partners, including European and Ukrainian associations of local and regional authorities, to coordinate joint efforts to help in the recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine.

The Association of Local Authorities in Dnipropetrovsk region is an associate partner of the Alliance.
