Grain exports since the beginning of 2024/25 MY are 16% lower than last season

As of May 2, Ukraine exported 35.341 mln tonnes of grains and pulses since the beginning of 2024-2025 marketing year (MY, July-June), 119 thsd tonnes of which were shipped since the beginning of the current month, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine reported, citing the data of the State Customs Service.

According to the report, as of May 3 last year, the total shipments were estimated at 41.607 mln tonnes, including 242 thsd tonnes in May.

At the same time, since the beginning of the current season, Ukraine has exported 13.913 mln tonnes of wheat (in 2023/24 MY – 15.848 mln tonnes), 2.264 mln tonnes of barley (2.205 mln tonnes), 10.8 thsd tonnes of rye (1.2 thsd tonnes), and 18.644 mln tonnes of corn (23.074 mln tonnes).

The total export of Ukrainian flour since the beginning of the season as of May 2 is estimated at 58.7 thsd tonnes (in 2023/24 MY – 87.1 thsd tonnes), including 54.5 thsd tonnes of wheat (82.4 thsd tonnes).
