Dnipropetrovsk Investment Agency (DIA) continues to acquaint you with the regional economic indicators. The industrial sector results of Dnipropetrovsk region are presented to your attention. In particular, in 2021, regional enterprises sold industrial products worth UAH 671.2 billion, which exceeded pre-pandemic figures by 32.3%. The industrial production index in 2021 was 107.3. The share of the Dnipropetrovsk region in the industrial sector of Ukraine is 18.7%. This is the first indicator among the regions of the country.

The leader in the industrial sector is the processing industry, the volume of which increased by 34% compared to 2020 and amounted to UAH 379.3 billion. Most of the products are sold in such sectors as:

• metallurgical production – UAH 229,5 billion;
• food and beverage industry – UAH 44,5 billion;
• production of building materials – UAH 24,5 billion;
• production of chemical products – UAH 24,3 billion;
• mechanical engineering – UAH 21,1 billion.

Extractive industry products were sold in the amount of UAH 238.3 billion, which is 35.5% of the regional volume. Compared to 2020, its volume increased by 42.7%.

Positive dynamics is demonstrated by the production of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, they account for 6.8% of the industrial sector of the economy, which is UAH 45.5 billion. The volume of this production increased by 27% compared to the previous year.
