World Economic Forum 2022

World Economic Forum 2022 will be held during 22-26 May in Davos. This extraordinary event takes place at a watershed moment in history convening nearly 2,500 leaders to tackle global issues and find solutions to the world’s most urgent challenges.

The Annual Meeting 2022 will embody the World Economic Forum’s philosophy of collaborative, multistakeholder impact, providing a unique collaborative environment in which to reconnect, share insights, gain fresh perspectives, and build problem-solving communities and initiatives. Against a backdrop of deepening global frictions and fractures, it will be the starting point for a new era of global responsibility and cooperation.

The meeting is centred around the theme History at a Turning Point: Government Policies and Business Strategies. It happens at the most consequential geopolitical and geo-economic moment of the past three decades and against the backdrop of a once-in-a-century pandemic.

The war in Ukraine and the resulting tragedy calls for global moral action. Leaders will address urgent humanitarian and security challenges as they simultaneously advance long-standing economic, environmental and societal priorities – all while reinforcing the foundations of a stable global system.

Clarity of vision and unity of purpose will be crucial for making progress against the unprecedented complexity of a multipolar world.

Sessions address: global cooperation; economic rebalancing; society, equity and global health; nature, food and climate; industry transformation; and innovation, governance and cybersecurity.

How will Ukraine be represented?

A large Ukrainian delegation is expected to arrive in Switzerland. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska will speak online.

The Ukrainian House will work in Davos for a week. Among the planned events will be a presentation by the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov on the development of digital state, innovative tools of war, and solutions for the digital economy.

The Pinchuk Foundation plans to hold a number of events, in particular, the Ukrainian Breakfast, which will be attended by Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba, and the exhibition “The House of Russian War Crimes,” which will be held in the building where the Russian House events were held in previous years, the Foundation said. Ukrainian government agencies, nongovernmental organizations and the media will be co-organizers of the exhibition dedicated to the facts of human rights violations in Ukraine.
