Ukrainian cheese exports increased by 40% since the beginning of the year

In the period from January to October 2024, Ukraine imported 6.6% more cheese than in the same period last year, amounting to 28.9 thousand tons.

According to the State Customs Service.

In monetary terms, cheese imports increased by 6.9% over 10 months compared to the same period in 2023, to $171.1 million.

Cheese was imported to Ukraine mainly from Poland (39.6%), Germany (20.1%), and the Netherlands (9%).

Exports of Ukrainian cheese in January-October 2024 reached 10.1 thousand tons, which is 40.3% more than in the same period last year.

In monetary terms, exports for 10 months amounted to $43.7 million, which is 34% more than in the same period of 2023.

The largest buyers of domestic cheeses in January-October 2024 were Moldova (33.1%), Kazakhstan (30.2%), and Germany (9.3%).
