The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has extended the maximum settlement period for transactions involving imports of certain types of industrial equipment from 180 to 270 calendar days. The relevant amendments were approved by NBU Board Resolution No. 103 dated 15 September 2026 and entered into force on 17 September 2026.
The decision was adopted following proposals submitted by the Government and consultations with the Ministry of Economy and Environment of Ukraine and experts from the International Monetary Fund.
The extended settlement period applies to imports of goods classified under Ukrainian Classification of Goods for Foreign Economic Activity (UCGFEA) codes 8455 and 8457–8463, including:
According to the NBU, the amendments are intended to align the maximum settlement period with the actual duration of manufacturing and logistics cycles involved in the supply of complex industrial equipment.
The measure is expected to support the recovery and modernisation of production capacities of Ukrainian enterprises.
Under the general rules currently in force during martial law, the maximum settlement period for export and import transactions is 180 calendar days. However, from 17 September 2026, a 270-day settlement period will apply as an exception to the specified categories of industrial equipment.
