The Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR), in cooperation with U-LEAD with Europe, has launched an innovative Matchmaking Platform to foster cooperation and partnerships among local governments across Europe. The announcement was made during the CEMR Leaders’ Summit held on December 10th in Karlsruhe, Germany.
Originally introduced at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin, the platform is now open to all European local governments.
Its primary goals include:
1. Strengthening partnerships between European municipalities.
2. Supporting Ukrainian municipalities in their recovery efforts.
3. Promoting Ukraine’s integration into the EU.
The platform offers two main focus areas, available in English and Ukrainian:
Europe-focused Partnerships: facilitates collaboration among Local and Regional Governments across Europe.
Ukraine-focused Partnerships: connects European Local Governments with Ukrainian municipalities to enhance recovery and integration efforts.
