Ukrainian startup ChoiceQR with over 2,000 users in Poland receives €1 million from local fund Smartlink Partners
ChoiceQR co-founder Volodymyr Olyanytskyi reported that the startup has raised €1 million from the Polish fund Smartlink Partners. The startup was funded in the form of a convertible loan. It will be part of the Series A round currently being conducted by Choice.
Choice entered the Polish market in 2022. As of March 2025, it has over 2,000 registered restaurants and over 500 paying users in Poland. The Polish office has over 20 employees.
20% of Choice users in Poland are establishments from Ukraine. The service is used by the Thai Wok, Sushi World, Pizza Factory, Osama Sushi chains, as well as one of the oldest Polish food courts – Hala Koszyki.
Choice’s annual recurring revenue (ARR) is $3 million. Currently, the startup is on the verge of breaking even in current markets.
Smartlink Partners Managing Partner Pavlo Shydlovsky explained that the fund decided to invest in the startup now because it expects the company to significantly scale its business in the next 24 months.
Choice was founded by childhood friends Oleksiy Ilyash and Volodymyr Olyanytsky in 2020. Initially, the startup’s goal was to popularize QR menus, but the project later expanded to a platform for creating its own applications, websites, online menus with a CRM system, QR payments, and restaurant software that helps establishments launch their own delivery.
In 2024, Choice received $2.5 million from Czech funds J&T Ventures, Reflex Capital, and Presto Ventures. In total, Choice has raised $4.5 million in investments since its founding.
