Doing business
On March 25, 2025, an online meeting was organized by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Investment Agency (DIA) in cooperation with the European Business Association (EBA) and Ukraine Rebuild Newswire (URN). The event was dedicated to discussing and promoting an investment project to build a solar power plant (SPP) in the Vakulivska territorial community.
The meeting was attended by key participants: Valentyna Rudenko, acting head of Vakulivska TC, Adam Brown, founder and editor of Ukraine Rebuild Newswire, and DIA experts.
At the initiative of the EBA, URN and DIA, this investment project is included in a series of publications on the Ukraine Rebuild Newswire platform, which covers investment opportunities and the reconstruction of Ukraine. This helps to attract potential investors interested in the development of green energy.
During the interview, key aspects of the project were discussed, including its strategic importance for the community, challenges and opportunities for project implementation, and prospects for attracting investors.
The project envisages the construction of a solar power plant on a 21-hectare land plot that has the appropriate designation, in particular: a land management project has been developed, the land plot has received a cadastral number, and its designated purpose has been changed to energy land. A detailed site plan has also been approved, which defines the parameters of the plant’s location and the necessary infrastructure.
The project is expected to contribute to the decentralized energy supply of the community, create new jobs, attract investment in the community, and develop renewable energy. The generated electricity can be used both for local consumption and for further sale on the Ukrainian energy market. This will contribute to the region’s energy security and reduce dependence on traditional energy sources.
Communication between the project initiators and Ukraine Rebuild Newswire helps to promote the project. The meeting participants emphasized that they are ready for further cooperation to promote the investment project to potential investors and provide them with comprehensive support.
