Meeting with Czech delegation: focus on energy and medicine

Headed by Mykola Lukashuk, Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, Dnipropetrovsk Investment Agency joined a meeting with a Czech delegation that included Tomáš Kopečný, Czech Governmental Envoy for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Czech Republic Marek Mora, and more than 30 representatives of leading Czech business companies offering modern solutions for the rebuilding and modernization of energy infrastructure.

Despite the full-scale war, Dnipropetrovsk region continues to work, providing over 11% of the country’s GDP and remains a pillar of the state.

The Czech Republic is ready to invest in our region. The office of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ukraine has already opened in Dnipro – a representative base for business, practical cooperation, exchange of experience and strengthening of partnerships, which will allow more effective planning and implementation of important joint projects in the areas of economy, security, medicine, education and recovery.

Situation in the region, its investment potential and future partnerships were discussed during this event.

“Winter is ahead, and russia continues to attack our energy sector. We are a key frontline region of Ukraine. That is why projects for the security of the region and stable economic performance are so important. We already have concrete results from our cooperation with the Czech Republic: equipment for hospitals in Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Marhanets, new water purification systems for communities and a mental health center as part of Olena Zelenska’s ptoject “How Are You?”. We are grateful to the Czech Republic and personally to Tomáš Kopečný and Marek Mora for their willingness to cooperate during the most difficult time for us” said the Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council.
