Czech Republic and Dnipropetrovsk Region: a sustainable partnership

Dnipropetrovsk Investment Agency, headed by Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council Mykola Lukashuk, joined the meeting with the newly appointed Czech Ambassador to Ukraine Luboš Veselý.

During the meeting was discussed further steps in cooperation based on a win-win approach.

Relations between Dnipropetrovsk region and Czech Republic have a long history and cover various areas. Czech Republic continues to support Ukraine, and during the full-scale invasion no company ceased its activities in the region. Currently, 19 Czech companies operate in Dnipropetrovsk region in various industries, which have invested $27.3 million in the regional economy. Czech Republic is one of the key partners of region in international trade in goods, ranking 10th in exports and 6th in imports.

In August of this year, the office of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ukraine was opened in Dnipro. It is a representative hub for business, practical cooperation, exchange of experience and strengthening of partnership. This is an important and symbolic step towards the implementation of joint projects in the spheres of economy, security, medicine, education and recovery.

Dnipropetrovsk region is open for investments, development of industrial sites, creation of industrial parks. We want Czech businesses to start working in Dnipropetrovsk region, for the sake of long-term mutually beneficial partnership.
