Dnipropetrovsk Region and Lower Silesia: a strong partnership and priorities for development

Dnipropetrovsk Investment Agency (DIA) recently had the honor of participating in a meeting led by Mykola Lukashuk, Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, with Marshal Paweł Gantzach and a delegation from the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. Their visit serves as a strong sign of support for the frontline region.

The region has been cooperating with the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in the humanitarian and cultural spheres, exchanging scientific achievements and experiences in the field of local self-government for almost 20 years. However, with the beginning of full-scale war, this cooperation has reached a new level. Polish partners were the first from European countries to visit the region during the ongoing rocket attacks. Over the years of military support, Lower Silesia has provided over €4 mln in humanitarian aid. Generators, special equipment, drones, ambulances, equipment for communities and the military.

Poland is one of the main foreign trade partners in the region, ranking 2nd among exporters and 3rd among importers worldwide. Currently, there are 19 Polish companies operating in Dnipropetrovsk region, which have invested $4.7 mln in the economy of the region.

Currently, the priority areas are strengthening the stability of the energy system. The region is open to developing business relations, establishing new partnerships and implementing joint projects. Community recovery, economic cooperation, healthcare and partnerships between our universities are also key areas of cooperation.
