Recreation industry in Dnipropetrovsk region: updated DIA projects

During wartime, the leisure industry takes on new significance: it is not just about recreation, but also about psychological resilience, the region’s cultural presence, and the economy of small and creative businesses. In Dnipropetrovsk region, theaters and cultural initiatives have adapted to security realities, are working with various audiences, and are seeking formats capable of attracting service consumers from other cities and even regions.

To offer investors and partners a compelling investment opportunity in the recreation industry, DIA has updated its “Theatre of Magic” project. This is a unique illusion theater in Ukraine that creates original shows and productions and operates in an interactive format, combining stage magic, visual effects, and modern technology.

The project includes developing the theater in two possible formats – a permanent or mobile one, where the stage can be moved to different locations. This expands the area of performances and allows to reach a wider audience, scaling the cultural product without being tied to a single venue. The repertoire already includes several shows, such as “Touch the Magic,” “Christmas Magic,” and “World of Magic,” as well as a well-established portfolio of illusion acts and programs for various event formats.

The project team is focusing on professional-level productions and attracting talented performers. In particular, the theater’s cast includes magician and illusionist Dmytro Mosin, winner of the “Merlin Statuette” award for his contribution to the art of illusion, a member of the International Association of Illusionists, with over 20 years of experience.

The project initiator (individual entrepreneur) plans to support the theater’s development by purchasing the necessary stage and technical equipment, organizing office and production support, renting premises, and hiring 10 employees at the initial stage. The estimated investment needs amount to USD 16000. Among the mechanisms for cooperation with the investor, the creation of a joint venture, direct investment or loan financing are being considered.

Another component of the project is social outreach: “Theater of Magic” participates in charitable events and puts on performances for socially vulnerable groups, including at military hospitals and social institutions in the region. More specifically, such initiatives not only contribute to the cultural landscape but also create an environment that helps people recover, unwind and return to a normal rhythm of life.
