The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Investment Agency joined a meeting with Portuguese partners, chaired by Mykola Lukashuk, Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council.

The delegation included Teresa Leal Coelho, member of Portugal’s Central Electoral Commission, an influential political figure in Portugal and Ambassador of HelpUA PT; Ângelo Neto, Vice President of HelpUA PT and Head of the Phoenix Rehabilitation Centre; Anton Hulidin, Adviser to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights and Director of the Friends of Ukraine Foundation; and José Duade, representative of European charitable and patronage networks.

The discussion focused on four areas of cooperation.

• The first area is the rehabilitation of our wounded servicemen at the Phoenix Rehabilitation Centre. It is the first private rehabilitation centre in Europe dedicated to the recovery of Ukrainian servicemen after severe injuries, including amputations. Dozens of defenders have already undergone rehabilitation there. For servicemen from Dnipropetrovsk region, this area of cooperation should become permanent.
• The second area concerns child and family programmes based on the model launched today. The first group has already departed, and further groups are planned.
• The third area is prosthetics and training for our rehabilitation specialists.
• The fourth area is institutional partnership between Dnipropetrovsk region and Portugal.

In addition, investment projects supported by DIA were presented to the Portuguese side for further cooperation.

The Portuguese Republic demonstrates systematic and solidary support for Ukraine, covering both the provision of material resources and active engagement on the international political stage. For the fifth consecutive year, Lisbon has been providing comprehensive assistance to Ukraine, including financial, military, political and humanitarian support.
