Opportunities for Polish firms in Ukraine: market, support tools, participation in recovery projects of Ukraine

On June 9, 2026, as part of the development of interregional economic partnership and coordination of efforts for the recovery of Ukraine, an online webinar was held for business representatives of Lower Silesia (Republic of Poland). The event was dedicated to the topic: “Opportunities for Polish firms in Ukraine: market, support tools, participation in recovery projects of Ukraine, areas of cooperation,” and focused on the opportunities for cooperation with Poland and the support infrastructure for Ukrainian entrepreneurs.

Participants were greeted by the Consul General of Ukraine in Wrocław, Taras Tokarskyi; the Director General of the Lower Silesian Economic Cooperation Agency (DAWG), Dominika Ciszek; and the First Vice President of the Dnipropetrovsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sergiy Kucheryavenko.

The event became an important platform for presenting the economic landscape, legal framework, aspects of attracting Polish capital to Dnipropetrovsk region, institutional and financial support tools, insurance opportunities for Polish exports and investments, as well as opportunities for Polish companies to participate in the recovery of Ukraine.

Leading experts from Polish and Ukrainian institutions shared their expertise, analytical materials, legal nuances and information on financial products. In particular, the export support services and projects of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) and the capabilities of the Polish economy were presented by Wojciech Działoszyński, an expert from the Regional Trade Office in Wrocław. The webinar also highlighted a general overview of the Ukrainian market, systemic business support tools and identified sectors for export recovery and the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. Special attention was paid to strategic areas such as the construction and energy sectors, medical and pharmaceutical industries, automotive, transport and logistics spheres, the agri-food sector, the machinery and equipment industry, as well as IT.

Legal aspects and opportunities for Polish companies to participate in public procurement and reconstruction projects in Ukraine were covered in detail by Oleksandra Misiats, CEO of BidLegals and attorney-at-law.

The economic profile of the Dnipropetrovsk region and the available tax incentives for investors were presented by Yuliia Kniazyk, Head of the Marketing and Communications Department of the Dnipropetrovsk Investment Agency (DIA).

The areas of interregional cooperation and practical assistance for entrepreneurs from the Lower Silesian-Dnipropetrovsk Economic Center, founded by DAWG and the Dnipropetrovsk CCI with the support of the partner regions’ leaders, were presented by Grzegorz Małyga, Head of the Investment Cooperation Department at the Lower Silesian Economic Cooperation Agency (DAWG).

Financial instruments for supporting the export of goods, services, and investments were addressed by representatives of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) – Karol Rozenberg, Trade Finance Manager, and Hubert Czupryński, Foreign Operations Expert.

The webinar proved to be an important consultative and informational event organized in close cooperation between the Dnipropetrovsk CCI and Polish partners, aimed at providing practical substance to and activating the interregional economic partnership between Dnipropetrovsk region and Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
