Doing business
On June 24, an offline meeting was held in Dnipro as part of a series of events dedicated to intermunicipal cooperation. Communities from Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions, representatives of regional military administrations, regional development institutions, the business community, and the “Partnership Fund For Resilient Ukraine” (PFRU) program participated in the professional dialogue.
The event was organized by the “Electronic Republic. Technology NGO” as part of the project “Building Economic Resilience in Border and Frontline Communities” with support from the “Partnership Fund For Resilient Ukraine” (PFRU), a multinational donor initiative funded by the governments of the United Kingdom, Estonia, Canada, Norway, Finland, Switzerland, and Sweden.
During this meeting, the focus was on the practical aspects of intermunicipal cooperation: participants discussed legislative mechanisms for collaboration between communities, best practices for implementing joint initiatives, and the opportunities that partnerships offer for regional development.

Special attention during the meeting was paid to the opportunities already available to communities today. Nataliia Alieksieienko, Head of the Entrepreneurship Development Department of the Department of Economic Development of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration; Daria Snopenko, Deputy Director of the Department – Head of the Real Sector Economy Development Directorate of the Department of Economy of the Donetsk Regional State Administration; Olha Mamai, Head of the Information and Organizational Work Department of the Dnipropetrovsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Yuliia Kniazyk, Head of the Marketing and Communications Department of the Dnipropetrovsk Investment Agency (DIA), presented existing support programs, shared their experience of implementing projects, and spoke about opportunities for cooperation with communities.

The event concluded with an open discussion, during which participants talked about ways to make more effective use of existing support tools, develop partnerships between communities, and manage the challenges they face.
We are grateful to the communities of Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions for their active participation and openness to cooperation.
