Doing business
On 12 August 2026, Dnipropetrovsk Investment Agency DIA, together with Dnipropetrovsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, had the honour of joining a meeting with representatives of the international cooperation programme STEP IN 2.
The STEP IN 2 EU programme is co-financed by the Governments of Germany and Norway, by the European Union under the EU4Business initiative, as well as by the Governments of Lithuania and Estonia. The Programme, implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, is designed for a three-year period and focuses on creating better institutional and financial conditions for small and medium-sized enterprises. The key goal of the Programme is to accelerate the integration of Ukrainian business into the single market of the European Union and to support the country’s economic recovery.
During the meeting, DIA presented the structure of the regional economy, its leading industries and its TOP export positions. In addition, the GIZ experts were presented with the region’s investment priorities and existing investment infrastructure — from the investment portal and industrial parks to investment projects and recovery projects ready for implementation.
Particular attention was given to the tools for investor support and consultations for territorial communities, namely cost-free consultations, administrative support, available investment resources and the financial incentives accessible to business in the region. More detailed information on the investment opportunities of Dnipropetrovsk region is available on the investment portal at the link.
The Programme’s presence in Ukraine has a clear practical purpose: to strengthen the competitiveness of Ukrainian enterprises during the wartime and post-war periods, to bring the national business environment closer to EU standards, and to build a sustainable foundation for the reconstruction of the economy with the participation of the private sector.
We are grateful for the opportunity to join the dialogue with the partners of the STEP IN 2 EU programme and Dnipropetrovsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and continue to represent the region at leading investment platforms and remain open to international communication. We are working for the recovery of the region and Ukraine as a whole.
