Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine cancels licensing of certain goods

The Government has adopted Resolution No. 472 “On amendments to Annex 5 to Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1466 dated 27 December 2022”.

The document cancels the export licences for a number of goods in 2023. In particular, live cattle, frozen cattle meat, poultry meat, meat and edible meat offal, salted or in brine, dried or smoked, edible flour from meat or meat offal, cattle meat, poultry eggs, rye, oats, millet.

The resolution was drafted in response to numerous requests from industry and trade associations for export licences to be lifted. Its adoption will help to optimise agricultural exports and increase Ukraine’s foreign exchange earnings.

It is worth noting that these changes will not affect supply on the domestic market – domestic producers will be able to meet the needs of meat production of all types at a sufficient level.
