COFCO invests in the expansion of river terminal in Dnipropetrovsk region

According to the publication “Ports of Ukraine”, Chinese grain corporation COFCO Corporation intends to invest in increasing the storage capacity of the terminal “Unigrain-Basis” in the village Myshuryn Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region.  At present, the terminal can store 22.4 thous. tons of grain, shipping 2400 tons per day. The company plans to increase the capacity to 30 thous. tons in 2020.

COFCO Agri controls eight enterprises in Ukraine, 2 of which are located in Dnipropetrovsk region, in particular:

“Belgravia” – 14 floor-type granaries with a total storage capacity of 49 thous. tons;

“Unigrain-Basis – 7 floor-type mechanized warehouses with total storage capacity of 22.4 thous. tons.

COFCO Corporation is one of the largest producers, processors and traders of agricultural products in the world. In recent seasons, the company has been one of the leading exporters of grains and oilseeds and processed products. The corporation owns assets worth more than $71.9 bln. Grain storage capacities are estimated at 31 mln tons, processing capacity – 89.5 mln tons per year, it has representative offices in 140 countries.
