The government has increased funding for the Ukraine Recovery Programme, implemented with the support of the European Investment Bank, by UAH 1 billion. The additional resource has already been allocated to communities in 16 oblasts, after which the funds will be transferred to local budgets in the form of a subvention from the state budget.
As a result, the total funding of the Programme in 2026 has grown from UAH 987.1 million to almost UAH 2 billion.
The funds will be directed to the restoration of social and critical infrastructure, housing and communal services, as well as to the construction and restoration of social housing. Among the projects are schools, kindergartens, shelters, hospitals, communal networks and housing.
The allocation took into account the readiness stage of each project: availability of up-to-date project documentation, a concluded loan funds transfer agreement, the status of procurement, and other necessary conditions. This will make it possible to direct funding primarily to projects that are ready for implementation or are already at an active stage.
Funding will be transferred to the local budgets of communities in Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy and Chernihiv oblasts.
The projects are implemented using funds raised under the Financing Agreement “Ukraine Recovery Programme” between Ukraine and the European Investment Bank. To receive funding within the programme, projects must pass the envisaged selection stages and be approved by the EIB.
