Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant invested $ 8 mln in a modern tubular carbon filter

A modern tubular carbon filter was constructed on the territory of the Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant. The company spent $8 mln on its construction.

The new filter is capable of purifying 440 thousand m3 of gas per hour – this is twice as much as originally planned and will allow reducing particulate emissions into the air by 45 tons per year, including manganese – by 10 tons.

25 major polluting enterprises of the region joined the regional environmental safety program implementation. The level of anthropogenic load on the environment from these enterprises is 96%. These enterprises have committed themselves to more than 400 environmental measures, which will be carried out in stages – until 2025.
