The French group Saint-Gobain has invested €11 million in a construction mixtures plant in Ukraine

The press service of Saint-Gobain Construction Products Ukraine LLC has announced the opening of its first Ukrainian plant for the production of dry building mixtures in Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Previously, the international company Saint-Gobain only imported its products to Ukraine from its Polish plants, and now it is launching its own full-cycle production in Ukraine – from the extraction of raw materials to the creation of finished building materials.

The new plant, which will create 50 jobs, will produce gypsum mixes under the Rigips brand. The plant is located in Khotymyr village near a gypsum deposit. Its production capacity is 60 thousand tons per year.

According to the President of Saint-Gobain Group in Poland and Ukraine, Joanna Czinsh-Piechowiak, the opening of the first Saint-Gobain plant in Ukraine is an important step for the company.

Saint-Gobain Building Products Ukraine LLC is owned by the French company Saint-Gobain Isover. In 2023, the company generated UAH 536 million in revenue and UAH 38.6 million in net profit.
