As part of a working visit to Paris to participate in the 93rd General Session of the World Organisation for Animal Health, a delegation from the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection held a series of bilateral meetings with representatives of competent authorities of foreign states.
The focus was on expanding access for Ukrainian products to the markets of the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Namibia, Peru, and Paraguay.

Republic of Korea

During the meeting with representatives of the Republic of Korea, the parties discussed further promotion of Ukrainian products on the Korean market.

Export certificates have already been agreed upon for:

• processed egg products;
• dairy products;
• pet food.

At the same time, work is ongoing to open the market for:

• poultry meat;
• table eggs;
• fish products;
• frozen beef.

Malaysia

One of the key topics of negotiations with representatives of Malaysia was the expansion of agri-food trade.

Ukraine has already gained access to the Malaysian market for:

• milk and dairy products;
• egg products.

The next important step is an audit of Ukrainian production facilities to open exports of:

• poultry meat;
• poultry meat products.

The parties are also continuing to work on the following issues:

• halal meat products;
• pork;
• renewal of permits for the supply of dairy products.

Namibia

During negotiations with representatives of Namibia, the opening of a new market for Ukrainian poultry products was discussed.

The Ukrainian side:

• initiated the market access procedure;
• submitted a list of interested producers;
• proposed conducting an online audit of production facilities to expedite the approval process.

Peru

With representatives of Peru, the parties discussed prospects for expanding bilateral trade and opening new export directions.

Among the priorities:

• poultry meat;
• processed poultry products;
• pet food.

Paraguay

During the meeting with representatives of Paraguay, the parties focused on issues of access for Ukrainian products to the local market.

The products in question include:

• processed poultry products;
• collagen casings.

The Ukrainian side has already submitted the necessary technical materials and is awaiting further decisions from the competent authority of Paraguay.
