According to European Commission data, EU imports of rapeseed meal in the first 16 weeks of the 2026/27 marketing year (MY), from July 1 to October 18, totaled 112.91 thousand tonnes. This is 60.9% lower than in the same period of the previous season (288.76 thousand tonnes) and 19.7% lower than at the start of MY 2024/25 (140.70 thousand tonnes).

Ukraine became the main supplier of rapeseed meal. Despite the overall decline in imports, its shipments rose by 69.1% to 76.94 thousand tonnes (68.1% of total imports), up from 45.5 thousand tonnes (15.8%) a year earlier. Supplies from the United Kingdom, by contrast, fell by 7.4% to 23.58 thousand tonnes (20.9%), down from 25.47 thousand tonnes (8.8%) a year earlier.

Other suppliers included Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose shipments rose to 6.58 thousand tonnes (5.8%) from 5.66 thousand tonnes (2.0%) a year earlier, and Belarus, which entered the top five suppliers for the first time with 5.5 thousand tonnes (4.9%).
