Ukraine has initiated the establishment of the Organization of Grain Exporting Countries

Ukraine has proposed the creation of the Organization of Grain Exporting Countries. Adviser to the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Markiyan Dmytrasevych told about it.

“We want the world’s major grain exporters – the United States, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Ukraine, the EU – to unite to protect their interests in the world market,” said Markiyan Dmitrasevich.

According to him, there are often situations when, for example, Ukraine exports a lot of grain, but Ukraine is subject to certain barriers to imports of processed products.

In such circumstances, the countries of the Organization of Grain Exporting Countries could respond to hostile import ban measures together. And if a member of the Organization were banned from importing into a certain country, it would be considered a violation of the interests of all, said Markiyan Dmytrasevych, Adviser to the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
