Ukraine simplifies marking and labeling requirements for imported products

The Cabinet of Ministers has simplified the requirements for labeling of imported food products to facilitate their quicker import during martial law.

It is about simplifying a number of requirements for market operators, which import products into Ukraine.

Suppliers of food products may not indicate information about the product in the state language. A batch of goods must obligatory be accompanied by information in Ukrainian language.

Labeling of food and feed products that are sent as humanitarian aid is permitted in the language of the importer.

Market operators may use the remnants of packaging or containers at other facilities producing similar food and feed during the closure of their enterprises.

Simplifying requirements for importers will enable faster delivery of products that Ukrainians require the most.
