Over four years of implementing the state program “Vlasna Sprava” (My Own Business), 42 thousand Ukrainians received almost UAH 12 billion in state support to start and develop their own business. Thanks to the program, more than 60 thousand new jobs have been created across the country.
“Vlasna Sprava” has become one of the key instruments for supporting entrepreneurship during the full-scale war. The program helps Ukrainians start their own business, develop an existing business, create new jobs, and strengthen the economic resilience of communities.
The project is implemented by the Ministry of Economy and Environment of Ukraine together with the State Employment Service.
Microgrants
Following the results of the 15th wave of the “Vlasna Sprava” program — for which applications were accepted from July 26 to August 9, 2026 — 345 entrepreneurs will receive almost UAH 118 million to implement their business projects. As a result, 550 new jobs will be created.
Since the start of the program, more than 38 thousand entrepreneurs have received grants totaling UAH 10 billion. With their support, 56 thousand new jobs have been created.
Entrepreneurs most often direct grant funds toward business development in the following sectors:
By number of program winners, the leaders are Lviv Oblast — 13%, Kyiv — 8%, and Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, and Rivne oblasts — 7% each.
Among grant recipients, 61% are women and 39% are men. Most grant recipients are individual entrepreneurs (FOPs) — 68%. The most active age group is 35 to 50 years old — almost 45% among individuals and FOPs. The average grant amount is UAH 263 thousand.
Certain areas of the program make it possible to support entrepreneurship in regions and sectors that particularly need development:
Veteran Grants
A separate area of “Vlasna Sprava” is grant support for veterans and members of their families.
Following the results of the 15th wave of the veteran track, 29 winners were determined. They will receive almost UAH 13 million in grant funds, which will allow the creation of 51 new jobs.
Since the launch of the veteran track in April 2023, more than 3.5 thousand defenders and members of their families have received grant support to create or develop their own business. The total amount of support is almost UAH 2 billion. During this time, more than 5 thousand new jobs have been created.
Veterans and their family members most often open businesses in retail trade, services, and food service. In particular, 33% of grant recipients directed funds toward opening a shop or workshop, 15% toward a café or coffee shop, and another 12% toward manufacturing goods.
Among recipients of veteran grants, 54% are combat veterans, 45% are family members of combat veterans or persons with disabilities resulting from the war, and 1% are persons with disabilities resulting from the war.
By gender distribution, 53% of grant recipients are men and 47% are women. At the same time, 77% of participants chose grants of up to UAH 500 thousand throughout the entire period of the track’s operation.
“Vlasna Sprava” continues to expand opportunities for Ukrainians who want to start or develop their own business. State support for entrepreneurship helps create jobs, develop the local economy, and strengthen Ukraine’s economic resilience.
The implementation of the program has been made possible through partner cooperation. Oschadbank has served as the grant payment operator since the very start of the program — the first bank to join “Vlasna Sprava.” Applications and participation in the program take place online through the “Diia” application with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
