Metinvest Group’s steel products continue to strengthen their position in European construction markets. At the end of 2025, Kametstal’s reinforcing steel significantly expanded its supply geography in the EU. After receiving the green light on the Romanian market for B500C class rebar in October, in December the company completed the official certification of B500SP and B500B class rebar for the Lithuanian market.
The certification process covered rebar with a nominal diameter of 8 to 32 mm, which is manufactured on the 400/200 mill of Kametstal’s rolling shop. As a result of the procedure, the company received the relevant certificates, allowing it to officially supply products to Lithuanian customers and use them in construction projects in accordance with the country’s national standards.
The successful completion of the certification was preceded by comprehensive preparation and coordinated work by specialists.
Based on the results of the audit, a positive decision was made regarding the compliance of B500SP and B500B class reinforcement with the requirements of the Lithuanian market. Obtaining these certificates opens up new opportunities for Kametstal in the Baltic countries and confirms the competitiveness of Ukrainian metal products in EU markets, even in the context of a difficult military and logistical situation.
It should be noted that last year, despite logistical difficulties and energy instability, Kametstal implemented its most ambitious capital repair program in years of full-scale war. In particular, blast furnace No. 9 and MBLZ-1 were renovated. The company also mastered seven new types of metal products – a line of BLZ and long products for the Ukrainian and EU markets.
