The educational series “Future AI Leaders” has appeared on the Diya.Osvita platform, which will introduce teenagers to the basics of artificial intelligence. The series contains 76 videos in Reels format.
“Future AI Leaders” is available for all users on Diya.Osvita, and soon the video series will be available in the state educational application Mriya. Teenagers will learn the basics of artificial intelligence in a playful way together with IT specialists from the SQUAD R&D center Denis Lazarenko and Kateryna Voroniuk, as well as comedians Anastasia Zukhvala and Yuriy Kolomiyts.
“Artificial intelligence is a separate direction that will become fundamental and cross-cutting for every industry. Now interest in AI technologies and the possibilities of their use is only growing. That is why it is important that children can master these tools, use them correctly, realize themselves and achieve goals. That is why, together with partners, we are launching an educational series for teenagers on Diya.Osvita, and then it will also be available in the Mriya application. So, everyone will be able to get quick and convenient access to knowledge,” says Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technologies – Minister of Digital Transformation.
The series will be relevant:
“According to an industry study, in 2023 the Ukrainian IT sector reached 4.9% of the country’s GDP. This emphasizes the importance of the development of digital technologies for Ukraine. At the Ministry of Digital, we support educational initiatives that help develop new talents in the technology industry. One of these initiatives is the series “Future AI Leaders” on the Diya.Osvita platform. It will help teenagers and the adults who teach them to master the basics of artificial intelligence, develop practical digital skills for working with AI, and understand both the prospects and challenges that exist in this area. The series will become a starting point for young people who strive to be not only consumers of digital tools, but also their creators and responsible digital citizens,” notes Valeria Ionan, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for European Integration.
The methodology of the educational series was developed by Oleksiy Molchanovsky, head of the UCU Master’s Program in Computer Science in the Data Science specialization.
“At SQUAD, we are convinced that the future of our country lies in high-quality education. “As representatives of the Ukrainian tech industry, we see great potential for students to become familiar with the latest technologies from their school years. Artificial intelligence is the future, so we believe that Ukrainian youth will move this industry forward,” comments Yuriy Katkov, Country General Manager of the SQUAD R&D center.
In the series, users will receive answers to questions related to AI:
“It is important for our team to provide teenagers with high-quality educational opportunities. We plan to attract as many middle and high school students as possible to watch the series, as well as teachers who will become ambassadors of artificial intelligence in Ukraine,” says Anna-Veronika Krasnopolska, executive director of the popular science media outlet KUNSHT.
After the series launches, a series of free workshops will also be held on introducing AI elements into the educational school process for computer science teachers according to the methodology of the course “Future AI Leaders” in Ukrainian middle and high schools. “Artificial intelligence is covering more and more areas of human life. These tools complement our professional and personal activities. With the significant popularity of AI technologies in the last two or three years, we should not forget that they are based on algorithms that were invented in the middle of the last century. To understand modern AI, it is worth familiarizing yourself with its basic principles, which are based on working with data and machine learning algorithms and artificial neural networks. I hope that this series will give viewers an understanding of the formation and foundations of modern artificial intelligence technologies, and will encourage them to be not only responsible users, but also researchers and creators of new AI technologies,” concludes Oleksiy Molchanovsky, head of the UCU Master’s Program in Computer Science in the Data Science field.
Master the latest technologies for both learning and work or education, and become AI ambassadors in Ukraine. The series is now available on the Diia.Osvita platform: https://osvita.diia.gov.ua/courses/future-ai-leaders.
