Czech-Ukrainian partnership: Czech business delegation visited Dnipropetrovsk region

A delegation of the Czech Republic visited Dnipropetrovsk region today. After communicating with the regional leadership, international partners joined the Czech-Ukrainian business forum.

“It’s a very cool format where representatives of our and Czech businesses can sit down over a cup of coffee, share their experiences, and discuss projects. It is very valuable for us that many international business companies, even during the war, seek to develop business, trade, economic and investment cooperation with Ukraine. Understand the importance of these processes and plan to support them during the rebuild. In particular, 20 Czech companies continue to work in Dnipropetrovsk region, including well-known global brands and manufacturers.” – noted Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council.

The delegation includes Tomasz Kopechny, the Government Commissioner of the Czech Republic for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, representatives of the ministries of the Czech Government, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ukraine, and representatives of business companies in the Czech Republic.

“I am impressed by the courage and resilience of the Ukrainian people, in particular, the Dnipropetrovsk front-line region. I am sure that the Czech side will build systematic technological cooperation with the region,” said Tomasz Kopechny.

The following topics became a priority in the discussion

  • projects of restoration of social infrastructure and energy supply in communities affected by shelling;
  • attracting partner investments for the development of the medical field;
  • solving the problem of water supply in communities and industrial centers that, due to the terrorist attack of the aggressor country on the Kakhovskaya HPP, found themselves in the zone of man-made disaster.

“Our region is interested in cooperation in matters of ecology, construction, energy, and modern technologies. There is no doubt – we will win. Already today, we are thinking about restoration together. We are using every opportunity to make our state stronger, more powerful, stronger,” said Serhiy Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk OVA.

During the Forum, DIA representatives presented the priority directions for further cooperation to the Czech partners.
