Diia.Digital community: even more opportunities for digital transformation of regions and communities

The Diia.Digital Community platform has been updated to help regions and communities implement digital projects and track changes across the country.

From now on, the platform can be used to more effectively manage digital transformation processes on the ground, assess progress, and submit up-to-date data to the Region Digital Transformation Index and the Territorial Communities Digital Transformation Index.

The new functionality will help regional CDTOs and community digital leaders measure digitalization results, coordinate local initiatives, and prioritize next steps.

Among the updates:

Added the Digital Transformation Index of Regions

For the first time, starting in 2021, regions will be able to track the dynamics of digitalization on the ground. The Digital Transformation Index of Regions will be updated quarterly. This will allow for regular monitoring and decision-making based on current data. The index contains five main groups. Each indicator is rated on a scale from 0 to 100 points, which allows for accurate assessment of progress and determination of priorities for further steps.

Quarterly filling in the Indexes through personal accounts on the Diia.Digital Community platform

More than 1,000 digital leaders have already registered on the platform, who can now enter data on the Index indicators directly on the platform. This simplifies the process, as there is no longer a need to fill out tables or send paper documents. Everything happens quickly, conveniently, and online.

CDTOs of the Oblast fill in the Digital Transformation Index of Regions, which contains five groups of indicators: digital economy, digital skills, digital infrastructure, digitalization of public services, and digitalization of territorial communities. The latter group accounts for 20% of the region’s total score and depends on the indicators submitted by communities.

Digital community leaders fill in the Digital Transformation Index of Territorial Communities, which contains four groups: digital economy, digital skills, digital infrastructure, and digitalization of public services.

Thus, the digitalization of communities directly affects the overall indicator of the region. The more digital services and infrastructure solutions are implemented locally, the higher the level of digital transformation of the entire region.

Submission of information to the Indices for the first quarter continues until the beginning of May. The results will be available on the platform immediately after data is submitted.

Personal accounts for CDTO OVA teams and digital community leaders

From now on, the entire digital transformation team in a region or community can join the platform — this allows you to quickly update data, coordinate information submission to the Indices, and more effectively implement digital changes.

With the new capabilities of the Diia.Digital Community platform, each region and community will receive effective tools for managing digital changes and achieving new digital results.

Let us recall that Diia.Digital Community is a national platform for CDTOs of regional state administrations and digital leaders of local governments. The platform combines current data on digitalization, recommendations for implementing innovative solutions, and examples of successful projects.

The project was implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation in conjunction with the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP Program, implemented by the Eastern Europe Foundation.
