Dnipropetrovsk region is a leader among regions of Ukraine in capital investments

Capital investments in Dnipropetrovsk region for the first 9 months of 2019 increased by 27.4% compared to the same period of the last year and amounted to $1875.7 mln (11.9% of capital investments of Ukraine).

Sources of investment are own funds of enterprises 85% ($1596.2 mln, increased by 27%), 9% of municipal funds – $167.9 mln, 2.9% of credit resources – $55.2 mln and 2.3% of public funds $42.3 mln.

In the structure of investment directions, 63% were invested in the industrial sector $592.8 million and $512.5 million, of which were invested in the processing and mining industries, respectively.

31.3% of capital investments were made in the services sector, of which $165.4 mln were invested in compulsory social insurance, $150.9 mln in real estate operations, $142.4 mln in wholesale and retail trade and $72.8 mln in transport.

$71.9 mln of capital investments were invested in the agribusiness sector, which amounted to 3.8% of the total investment of the region.

$35 mln of capital investments were invested in the construction sector and made up 1.9% of the total investment of the region.

Capital investments in tangible assets amounted to 99.1% – $1859.7 mln, of which:

  • machinery, plant and equipment – $767.1 mln, 40.9% of  the total investment volume;
  • engineering structures – $489.4 mln, 26.1% of  the total investment volume;
  • non-residential buildings – $343 mln, 18.3% of the total investment volume;
  • means of transport – $192.4 mln, 10.3%  of  the total investment volume;
  • residential buildings – $17.5 mln, 0.9% of the total investment volume;
  • land – $6.1 mln, 0.3% of the total investment volume.

Investments in intangible assets accounted for 0.9% of  the total capital investment volume $16 mln; $11.8 mln of which were invested in IT, rights to commercial designations, industrial property, copyright and related rights, patents, licenses, concessions – $2.5 mln etc.
