Doing business
In 2019, $2.6 bln was invested in Dnipropetrovsk region, which allowed the region to remain in first place in the capital investments’ ranking among Ukraine regions. The investments’ volume in the region increased by 9% compared to the last year ($219.6 mln).
Most of the region’s capital investments’ structure is made up of enterprises’ own funds – $2.2 bln (83%), which grew by 29% compared to the previous year.
The capital investments’ volume of budget increased by 35.5% compared to last year and amounted to $340.6 mln.
The largest share of capital investments (63.1%) was made in the industrial sector of the regional economy and amounted to $1.66 bln. A significant part was invested in the mining industry ($751.3 mln) and the processing industry ($799.2 mln).
In second place is the services sector (31.2%). Capital investments in this economy sector amounted to $819.4 mln. Most of them were invested in financial and insurance activities – $ 255.7 mln, wholesale and retail trade – $196.2 mln and operations with real estate – $173 mln.
The largest number of capital investments by asset type was invested in construction – 44.3%.
Investments in intangible assets accounted for only 0.8% of the capital investments total amount – $21.5 mln. In IT was invested $16.7 mln, in rights to commercial designations, copyrights and related rights, patents, licenses, concessions was invested $2.9 mln.
