Despite the challenges of war, Dnipropetrovsk Investment Agency (DIA) pays significant attention to recovery projects available on the Investment Portal of Dnipropetrovsk region and cooperates with international partners in this area.
The global initiative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Government of the Republic of Korea, “Rapid Response Mechanism: Relief, Employment and Vital Infrastructure for Vulnerable People in Emergencies” (REVIVE), aims to accelerate early recovery and strengthen the resilience of communities affected by the military aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine. The initiative is implemented through three key components: recovery of damaged infrastructure (healthcare facilities, schools, water supply systems, and residential buildings), creation of emergency employment opportunities and support for small businesses, as well as rebuild of essential public services—from electricity supply and access to clean water to waste management.
The initiative was launched in Dnipropetrovsk region in 2025. At the request of UNDP, Dnipropetrovsk Investment Agency (DIA) proposed recovery projects published on the Investment Portal of Dnipropetrovsk Region, which are available via the link, and these projects were submitted for further consideration under the REVIVE initiative.
Following on-site assessments of the recovery facilities, five projects were selected and received funding totaling more than UAH 60 million. Within the framework of the initiative, roof repairs were completed at the Multidisciplinary Educational and Rehabilitation Centre No. 6; 63 boarding rooms and the shelter of the Dnipropetrovsk Professional College of Sports were renovated; barrier-free access was created at the Kryvyi Rih Oncology Dispensary; landscaping works were carried out at the Zorianyi Educational and Rehabilitation Centre; and a building of the Solonyi Lyman Rehabilitation Centre was restored.
The implementation of these projects has become an example of effective cooperation between the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, UNDP, and the Dnipropetrovsk Investment Agency (DIA). It has demonstrated the region’s capacity to attract international technical assistance, restore critically important social infrastructure, and create conditions for the sustainable development of communities.
