Government extends areas of support for farms

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted Resolution No. 300 “On Amendments to the Procedure for the Use of Funds Provided for in the State Budget to Support Farms and Other Agricultural Producers”. This Procedure was approved in 2022 by Resolution No. 918.

The new document broadens the areas of state support for farmers registered in the State Agrarian Register and increases the amount of payments.

In particular, budget funds will be provided in the following areas and in the following amounts:

  • a budget subsidy per 1 hectare to farmers who cultivate up to 120 hectares of agricultural land. The amount has been increased from UAH 3,100 to UAH 4,000 per hectare;
  • a separate budget subsidy per 1 hectare for farmers from the de-occupied territories and those territories where military operations have ended. The amount of support is UAH 8,000 per 1 ha;
  • a special budget subsidy for keeping cattle (cows) of all productivity types. Farmers with up to 100 cows will receive UAH 7,000 per head;
  • a special budget subsidy for the breeding stock of goats and/or sheep. The amount of support is UAH 2,000 per head for those who raise 5 to 500 goats and sheep.

Applications for budgetary aid are submitted to the State Agrarian Register after the announcement of the start of the call: from 1 May Укрдержфондуto 30 June 2024.

The application is registered in accordance with the requirements of Article 42 of the Law of Ukraine “On Administrative Procedure”. In case of non-compliance of the application with the established form or provision of incomplete information, the official of the State Fund of Support of Farms reviewing the application shall decide to leave the application without action in accordance with Article 43 of the Law of Ukraine “On Administrative Procedure”.
