On January 28, 2020, by the initiative of Volodymyr Zrazhevskyi, the head of Mezheva UTC and with the participation of specialists from the Dnipropetrovsk Investment Agency (DIA), a seminar on the inclusion of community investment objects in the interactive map of the region was held. The seminar was attended by project initiators and the owners of the investment-attractive objects of Mezheva UTC.
The aim of the seminar was to unlock the potential of Mezheva UTC in the context of decentralization and to introduce the prerequisites for their own investors supporting and to attract external ones.
The interactive map, which is placed on the investment portal of Dnipropetrovsk region, was presented by Halyna Savran, DIA land analyst.
Transparent information about the community’s land, infrastructure and logistics resources allows the community to develop its own investment projects, SMEs projects and to attract external investments. The powerful web platform of the region’s investment portal is an electronic reflection of the investment potential of Dnipropetrovsk region and contains detailed information on investment objects:
“Mezheva UTC is one of the most active communities, both in the region and in Ukraine. On the investment portal of the region a project on opening a dairy processing plant in the territory of Mezheva UTC (based on an existing dairy plant) is presented, on the basis of which the Brownfield Industrial Property Card is also being developed”, – said Halyna Savran, DIA land analyst.
Also, Mezheva UTC has its own digital asset accounting system based on GIS technologies, namely: an arcGIS interactive map and schematic maps of modern land use, which were implemented with the USAID «Ahrosilrozvytok» project (project cost was about 1 mln UAH). Thus, after land resources accounting, experts have identified dozens of untreated hectares that are now being actively used, and in the future are expected to bring to the community an additional UAH 2.5 mln annually.
“We have seen land plots that are used without registration of relevant documents; free plots that we were not aware of; areas of the former collective ownership which were not transferred to municipal property, etc. Thus, we have identified areas of social nature to which local budget funds or grants will be allocated, and we have also selected commercial business proposals for which investor funds are need to be attracted. These territories have been already reflected on the scheme map of perspective land use and community’s organizations”, – said Volodymyr Zrazhevskyi, the head of Mezheva UTC.
Experts of the Dnipropetrovsk Investment Agency (DIA) have started placing the investment facilities of Mezheva UTC on the interactive map of the region, which were formed as a result of land resources accounting.
