Investment projects supported by DIA: rehabilitation and health cluster

Dnipropetrovsk region has the potential to strengthen the rehabilitation and health cluster, both to meet the needs of Ukrainian soldiers and to expand the tourist industry in the future. The advantage for strengthening the cluster is created by available natural resources, developed infrastructure and the best global rehabilitation practices. One of the main natural resources is mineral water, which has healing properties. And the developed infrastructure of the region is filled with modern sanatoriums, hotels and recreation centers.

Investment projects in the medical and health sector are promising, as tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors of the world economy.

DIA supports two investment projects from businesses in the region for strategic investors who intend to quickly implement projects in the medical and health sector:

  • Creation of a modern health and wellness complex (LLC Sanatorium “Orlivshchyna Resort”, Pischanska village community, Novomoskovsk district) website: https://spa-kurort.com.ua/
  • Creation of a sports and recreation ecological recreation center (ARMAN GROUP LLC, Verkhnyodniprovska community, Kamianske district) website: http://www.baza-otdiha.dp.ua/

The projects are based on existing complexes: a recreation center and a sanatorium, which have the necessary engineering infrastructure and previous experience related to the investment project. For example, LLC Sanatorium “Orlivshchyna Resort” sees an increase in its competitiveness due to the expansion of the range of innovative health and treatment services through the reconstruction of clinical and residential buildings and the construction of a resort SPA center with a swimming pool. It is also planned to purchase new equipment that will additionally provide 3 types of services and expand 5 existing ones.

The company’s investment needs are estimated at $1.7 million, where $306,000 are the company’s resources for project implementation. The main mechanisms of cooperation with the investor are reverse investments with a payback period of 2-3 years or grant financing of the project.

Currently, the Sanatorium has a license to carry out more than 76 types of medical activities and a certificate of the highest accreditation category (ISO quality certificate).

The maximum bed capacity is 309 beds, including 293 year-round beds and 16 seasonal beds. The 9 sleeping buildings of the Sanatorium are equipped with independent heating and all amenities in each room, 24-hour hot and cold water supply. There are 11 medical departments.

Developing the direction of sanatorium-resort treatment and recreation, the Sanatorium also provides services for holding conferences, seminars, business and educational meetings, corporate events and mass recreation events.
