The law extending the moratorium on farmland sale in Ukraine came into force as of January 1, 2018.

On December 30, 2017, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed the law amending Section 10 “Transitional Provisions” of the Land Code of Ukraine, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on December 7, 2017. The document extends the validity of the moratorium on sale or alienation of farmland for one year.
