Singapore opens pet food market for Ukraine

Despite the difficult war conditions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine jointly with the State Consumer Service of Ukraine continues to work on opening up new markets for Ukrainian exports to the world, supporting producers and removing technical barriers to trade.

On August 3 Ukrainian producers of pet food received new opportunities for exporting to Singapore. The respective export health certificate has been approved by the competent authorities of both countries.

“One of the key priorities of Ukrainian diplomats in the war is to find new opportunities to increase exports of Ukrainian goods and services. Now fodder market in Singapore, which imports more than $170 million a year, has become available to Ukrainian producers. The Singaporean fodder market has now become accessible to Ukrainian producers thanks to the joint efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Food and Consumer Service. The opening of new markets contributes to the development of the national industry, stimulates the creation of new jobs, and therefore makes us stronger”, – said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba.

You can find the certificate form on the official web-portal of the State Consumer Service of Ukraine in the “International cooperation” section, rubric “Certificates for export from Ukraine”.

Note: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the State Consumer Service of Ukraine work together to open up new markets for Ukrainian exports, supporting producers and removing technical barriers to trade, as well as providing state guarantees of compliance with the requirements of partner countries.
