This is the first time that Switzerland has made a long-term commitment to support another country on such a scale.
Demining and security assistance
In October 2024, Switzerland announced the transfer of three remote demining devices at a conference in Lausanne.
Through the Swiss Demining Foundation (Fondation Suisse de Déminage), large-scale operations were carried out in the Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions in 2022–2024, including the clearance of agricultural land and urban infrastructure and the training of local specialists.
