The conference “Perspectives for Eastern Ukraine” is held in Kiev. Valentуna Zatyshnіak , Director of the Dnipropetrovsk Investment Agency (DIA) attended the event.

The conference is organised by Infrastructure Initiatives Programme for Ukraine funded by the German government and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

During the conference, the results of joint work with international and local partners of work in the East of Ukraine will be summarized and the prospects of further development of the regions will be discussed.

The main topics on the agenda are defined:

• Ensuring further development of Eastern Ukraine with the support of the international community;
• How to overcome the IDP crisis – the Eastern Ukraine experience

The main purpose of the Initiatives is to support Ukraine in overcoming the crisis in the east. IIPUs provide emergency assistance in solving the most pressing issues faced by the country and its population by increasing the number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) from the eastern regions.
