The government has expanded the list of critical imports by including agricultural machinery, spare parts and equipment used for agriculture. It is about tractors, agricultural machinery, trucks, tractor trailers, sprayers, irrigation equipment, seeders, all tillage equipment, tanks and etc. This was stated by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Roman Leshchenko.

According to him, on the very first day of the war, the Cabinet Decree ¹ 153 of 24.02.2022 approved a list of critical imports, to ensure a regular supply of food, as well as all the products that are necessary to prepare for the spring field work.

The list has been updated 11 times since then, so that the National Bank was able to provide constant cross-border currency payments for transactions of imported goods.

“In parallel all the time we added critical groups of goods for the needs of agricultural producers. During the last update the Government included in the list necessary for farmers agricultural machinery and spare parts, equipment for agricultural works (tractors, agricultural machinery, trucks, tractors, sprayers, irrigation equipment, seeders, all tillage equipment, tanks) fertilizers, preparations etc.”, – said Roman Leshchenko.
