The shelling of the invading army caused the most damage and destruction in July in the Kherson region, where the offensive actions of the Ukrainian armed forces are actively taking place and, accordingly, Russian killers are taking revenge on our defenders, attacking mainly civilian objects and civilians. The greatest damage was caused by aerial bombs and artillery, as well as missiles. For a month, almost 2000 shelling and tens of thousands of shells fell on Ukrainian land, buildings and people. The killers hit high-rise buildings, farms, evacuation points and even a church.
The border areas, as always, came under the aggressor’s crushing fire. Several thousand shells were fired at Sumy region, and in total there were about 500 shellings in July. Power lines, houses, gas pipelines were damaged. Traditionally for this territory rashists used artillery and mortars. The situation is the same in Chernihiv region. The inhabitants of villages and settlements located directly on the border suffer daily from shelling and are cut off from infrastructure important for their lives.
Kharkiv region, which also borders the aggressor, has taken a crushing blow from Russian missiles, artillery, anti-aircraft systems and mortars. During the month several dozens of shellings, and one of the most destructive was the shelling of Pervomayske, during which about 50 civilians were wounded. In general, the enemies hit residential houses, infrastructure. The aggressor also shelled humanitarian aid points several times.
Zaporizhzhia region, where the fiercest fighting is currently taking place, suffered daily fire from aggressors in July. Most often the enemy bombarded the region with artillery, aerial bombs, rockets and drones. More than 500 shellings during the month, more than 20 high-rise buildings were damaged, 16 of them completely destroyed, and there are dozens of wounded and killed among the population.
Dnipropetrovsk region, which since the beginning of the war has become a real humanitarian hub for displaced people and businesses affected by the war in the east and south, was also crushed by criminals. Administrative buildings, residential buildings, a church, a canteen and industries have come under attack. Artillery, rockets, drones and ballistic systems are among the most popular means of attacking the area, which have recently begun to be used more frequently. Criminals and aggressors daily destroy the peaceful life of the inhabitants of cities, villages and towns of the region. Only Nikopol district is subjected to enemy shelling several times daily.
Odessa region, whose port infrastructure has been suffering from damage caused by the aggressor for weeks on end, was also subjected to serious shelling in July. More than 100,000 tons of grain were destroyed, as well as several warehouses, port infrastructure and other buildings and machinery vital for the export of our agricultural products. The occupiers began to actively hit with Onyx missiles, which had previously been used very rarely. The strikes were also carried out by drones. In addition to ports and warehouses, residential buildings, a church and a museum were also destroyed.
The capital and the region suffered from missiles and drone attacks, of which there were several during July. Unfortunately, it was the homes of civilians that suffered the most, with some dead and dozens injured.
Donetsk and Luhansk regions, which have been suffering from shelling since 2014, suffered even more destruction in July. Here the enemy is using all means of destruction – ballistics, cruise missiles, drones, aerial bombs, artillery, mortars and the like. For July, the two regions have hundreds of destroyed buildings, wounded and killed civilians and almost no critical infrastructure after shelling.
In other regions of Ukraine, the enemy launched sporadic strikes on infrastructure, residential buildings and businesses. In Lviv region, the destruction of a house left about 60 families homeless. In Kirovohrad region, missiles partially destroyed an enterprise, in Mykolayiv region about 100 residential buildings were destroyed and damaged in a month, fired by missiles and drones.
