The athletes and coaches have been recognized with money certificates on UAH 50 thousand for the first place, UAH 40 thousand for the second, UAH 30 thousand for the third, UAH 10 thousand received each participant of the Games, the coaches received UAH 40 thousand.
According to Gleb Prigunov, the Chairman of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, monetary stipends for Paralympians is a little gratitude which we can do for our heroes.
“Every medal came at a price. Therefore, an example of your struggle for a medal is an example of heroism and an example of attitude to life, the ability not to lose heart, the ability to climb, when it is difficult! Thank you for examples of heroism, and for proving for the whole world that Ukrainians is a nation with a strong spirit! – Gleb Prigunov said in his welcoming speech.
In its turn, the athletes thanked Gleb Prigunov and Oleksander Pshenichnikov for supporting the Paralympic movement in Dnipropetrovsk region. The Paralympians presented a symbolic medal of the Paralympics in Rio for the leaders of the region and assured that they will continue training for new victories in the name of our state.
