In order to promote the investment development of Verkhnodniprovska community and attract international partners to the restoration projects, a working meeting was held on 6 February 2024 between the leadership of Verkhnodniprovska urban community and the Dnipropetrovsk Investment Agency DIA.

The areas discussed included ways to attract investment, assist in the development of investment instruments and their further implementation. Particular attention was paid to projects for the restoration and development of industrial areas.

Verkhnodniprovska community continues to actively strengthen its economic and investment advantages, taking into account the challenges and opportunities caused by the war. In particular, the community has established special conditions for investors, including low lease rates and land taxes for industry, recreation and agriculture, as well as a zero real estate tax rate for the industrial sector, aimed at stimulating economic growth and recovery. This allowed the relocated company from Donetsk region to locate on its territory.

The existing strong industrial sector of the community includes processing of agricultural products, food industry, machine building, metallurgy, mining and light industry. These industries are the main source of budget revenues and provide a high level of diversification in the community’s economy.

The community is developing international relations, and an example of positive cooperation can be seen in the interaction between the cities of Verkhnodniprovsk and Bocholt (North Rhine-Westphalia). The agreement on cooperation and partnership between these cities demonstrates their determination to strengthen relations and provide mutual support within the framework of a solidarity partnership.

The investment opportunities presented by the community with the support of DIA experts include:

• 36 restoration projects, of which 2 are posted on the Investment Portal of the region, in the section “Restoration Projects”;
• an investment project from business: “Creation of a sports and recreation, ecological recreation centre by ARMAN GROUP LLC”;
• 31 proposals for buildings and premises for the creation of production facilities (from 30.1 m² to 3,700 m²);
• 3 brownfield land plots with a total area of ≈22 ha;
• 8 residential construction projects under construction with the level of completion ranging from 10 to 65%.

Verkhnodniprovska community demonstrates its readiness to cooperate with both potential investors and international partners, including in times of war. The focus on restoring industrial areas, developing new facilities and creating conditions for the effective functioning of businesses makes the community a reliable partner for investors.
